The fourth annual conference, dedicated to rebuilding trust for human-centered data economy is organised by the award-winning MyData Global nonprofit and held in Helsinki, Finland, on September 25-27.

During MyData 2019 we give you the chance to meet and talk to changemakers, entrepreneurs, activists, academics, large corporations, public agencies, and developers. Interesting names include

Carole Cadwalladr, Journalist for the Guardian Observer behind the Cambridge Analytica investigation,
James Farrar, famous for the UK labour law case against Uber - The decision was described as a "monumental victory" for some 40,000 drivers in England and Wales,
Jessikka Aro, an investigative journalist (YLE) who won the Bonnier Journalism Prize in 2016 for her research about pro-Russia trolls in Finland,

The MyData 2019 conference is organised by the international MyData Global nonprofit, headquartered in Finland. MyData Global's mission is to empower individuals by improving their right to self-determination regarding their personal data. This is the paradigm shift outlined in the MyData Declaration.
Since its founding in October 2018, MyData Global has nearly 700 members, including over 90 organisations, from over 40 countries on six continents. MyData Global was awarded by the EU Commission as one of the most impactful European initiatives shaping a new culture around Next-Generation Internet, for “Data as a human right”.
