As the leader in product protection, Caplugs, Inc. is continually looking for ways to expand its product lines and offerings to deliver the most extensive range of protective parts, netting, packaging and hose protection. And now, with the completion of its acquisition of Safeplast Oy, Caplugs has once again grown its range of options for customers in Europe.
Safeplast has a long reputation as a trusted manufacturer of premium hose protection in Finland, delivering a range of colour options and product styles that can be customised to meet a wide variety of customers’ specific needs. These product lines will join with Caplugs’ existing line of spiral wrap protection, giving the company’s current customers access to more variety and options while opening the door for Safeplast customers to shop the Caplugs catalogue of over 40,000 protective parts.
Safeplast headquarters in Finland will continue producing the hose protection line and serve as Caplugs fourth European facility. Other manufacturing locations in Europe include the Netherlands, Belgium and San Marino.
“This is really a partnership of two industry leaders in product protection,” said Dave Williams, President and CEO of Caplugs. “In addition to both our current customer bases gaining access to even more protective options, this acquisition also further grows our presence in Europe, giving us greater range and manufacturing capabilities to support customers throughout the European Union and across the continent.”
“We’re excited to be a part of the Caplugs team,” said Raimo Kuitunen, General Manager of Safeplast. “We’re now able to start the process of giving our current customers even more options than ever before and can now serve and support the full range of product protection needs for our neighbours in Finland and throughout the Nordic countries.”
Business teams are currently working on the integration process to streamline the cross ordering of Caplugs and Safeplast product. The current Safeplast team will remain with Caplugs, meaning current Safeplast customers can continue to work with their same service and support contacts as they are all joining the Caplugs team.
